Back in November, my mom and I went to STITCHES East and had a great time. We took a couple of great classes, and a couple of mediocre classes, and we bought a lot of yarn and knitting-related things. I picked up a pattern and some yarn from Kollage Yarns. The pattern is the Pierina Shawl, using the suggested yarn - Creamy. This is a really neat yarn; it's made from 80% milk proteins and 20% cotton. Very soft, and the colors are very pretty. I've only had to rip it out a billion times and start over. Stitch counting is driving me absolutely nuts.
The other knitted project I've been working on was done as a sample for teaching knitting at Michaels. I've gotten all the pieces done, but I haven't sewn it together yet:
